that are not---anyone know the states where workers still have rights? I am tired of living in a right to work state (like Florida) which basically means people are fired for any cause.

Calif., Wash., Ore., Alaska (surprisingly), Hawaii., N. Mex. Colo., Mont., Mo., Ken. W.Va(think mines) . Minn., Anything north of the Ohio and Maryland (think enlightenment). The right to work mimics fairly well the red/blue divide in America.

Right to work does not mean you actually have any rights. It is all about Union Shops and how the companies can employ anybody but not force them to pay Union Dues.

No Peeps in the USA have rights any more. Even if they must work for the Daily Bread. They can put you in jail for any excuse, including showing up for work.

Closed Union Shops are just another way for you to pay. Still can fire you.

So am I correct in that you are saying the red states (which is what I am complaining about) have that statute- I am VERY familiar w/it Cosmic- I do not want to reside in a right to work statute state- it is like Florida- less lawsuits from employees- as opposed to NY or Illinois, where workers still enjoy some civil rights.
Anyway thanks Minne- I am headed toward Alaska or Washington state.
