Just a few days after the death of disco diva Donna Summer, another sad news hit the music world. Robin Gibb, co-founder of the Bee Gees died at age 62. The one-third of the group and singer-songwriter who helped put disco become a global phenom by providing the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever has been battling from cancer.
The Bee Gees, composed of siblings Maurice and Barry, established their legacy through their falsetto harmonies. His last performance on stage was in February at the Coming Home charity concert held at the London Palladium.

The band, which mixes metal, pop, dance, and other musical elements, just finished a 6-week, largely sold-out tour of the United States during which they also filmed a music video for Warm Smiles Do Not Make You Welcome Here directed by Raul Gonzo (January, VersaEmerge). The band is now focusing on touring Europe and Asia.

The funny rock duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass known as Tenacious D is back with another hilarious music video for their song Low Hanging Fruit from their recent and third album Rize of the Fenix, which was just released this past Tuesday (May 15th). This follows their previous MV for “To Be The Best”, which was as much fun to watch and listen to.

Rock icon guitarist Slash will be releasing his sophomore solo album Apocalyptic Love with collaborations with Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy and talks about it on Walmart Soundcheck Session.
‘Ladylike’, one of 20 blood paintings by Pete Doherty displayed in an exhibit at Cob Gallery, London, is a collaboration between Doherty and Amy Winehouse. The muscians’ collaboration features a self-portrait of Winehouse which is drawn by her own blood. It is sold for £35,000. Reports of an undisclosed percentage of its sale price will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
